В этом эпизоде нашего прохождения Octopath Traveler мы познакомимся со всеми игровыми персонажами и узнаем их краткие истории. В качестве стартового персонажа мы выберем аптекаря Альфина. В первой сцене игры мы увидим, как он не берёт денег за лечение дедушки в своей деревне, а после случится страшное и нам придётся искать, кто же укусил сестру друга Альфина – Нину. По следам пятнистой гадюки мы отправимся в пещеру возле города, возле зёва которой и закончим этот эпизод.
